Mofid University is one of the newest educational and religious research institute, which was founded in 1989 in the holy city of Qom, along with one of the largest areas of Islamic sciences. Its founder, the late Grand Ayatullah Hajj Sayyed Abdul-Karim Mousavi Ardebili (Al-Ajali), was an Enlightened, knowledgeable and prospective Marja. Due to the importance of human rights issues in the contemporary world and its relation to religious teachings and the necessity of research, education and explanation of Islamic thought and views, especially the school of the Ahlul-Bayt in this field, as well as the need to organize and focus on the activities of the Mofid University in this field, the Center for human rights Studies of the Mofid University is established within the framework of this structure and job description.
1- Production of knowledge and development of human rights literature, with emphasis on interdisciplinary research;
2- Explaining and promoting Islamic thought in the field of human rights;
3. Promoting the relationship between Human Rights and religions and civilizations;
4. Achieving common human rights principles such as peace, justice, freedom, security and the non-violent community among nations and governments.
